This article proposes an innovative method for rational allocation of energy storage capacity and selection of appropriate energy storage types in IES.

However, according to our investigation, there is still a lack of mature theoretical research on the planning methodology for multi-energy storage systems in IES. At present, the research progress of energy storage in IES primarily focuses on reducing operational and investment costs.

Are energy storage configuration schemes effective?

By comparing and analyzing four different energy storage configuration schemes, the research results have verified the effectiveness of this method in achieving economic and environmentally friendly optimization, as well as extending the service life of ESS. No potential conflict of interest was reported by the author (s).
