How to choose a solar inverter kVA rating?

In order for the inverter to work optimally, the inverter kVA Rating must match the load requirements, adjust the capacity of the solar panels, and, if the inverter used is an off-grid inverter, affect the selection of battery capacity because the higher the kVA, the more current will be drawn from DC.

How many kVA does an inverter have?

kVA = Total Wattage / (power factor × 1000) kVA = 775 / (0,8 × 1000) kVA = 0,96875 kVA When the calculation results are rounded up, an inverter kVA rating of 1.2 or 1.5 kVA is required.
