How close should a battery room be to an ups?

As mentioned earlier, batteries should be as close as possible to the UPS. The reasons are twofold: (1) the longer the cable runs, the greater the voltage drop; and (2) the longer the cable runs, the greater the potential for damage and/or short circuit. Open-rack battery rooms must be adjacent to the UPS room.

How to choose UPS battery cabinets?

Furthermore, the cabinets need to offer removable hinged doors so that the UPS system can be easily accessed. Doors need to be locked for safety and security. UPS Battery Cabinets have to be designed to house most front terminal batteries. Your UPS Battery Cabinets should have removable side panels so that cables can be easily installed.

Does the size of ups differ between internal and external batteries?

Note#2: dimension of UPS can differ between the one with internal batteries and the one with external batteries. The losses of the UPS is dissipated as heat and the UPS room should have the ventilation arrangement to remove the heat to maintain the ambient temperature below 40°C.The ventilation can be in the form of cross ventilation of hot & cold air (using air exchangers-inlet & exhaust fans with suitable filters) or with air conditioner.
