What is ACIR in lithium ion battery?

Lithium-ion batteries generally use AC power at 1kHz frequency, under this test, the ACIR measured value is equivalent to ohmic internal resistance. We can see that many lithium battery manufacturers provide internal resistance in the specification will be marked ACIR, 1kHz. What is DCIR?

What is DCIR and ACIR?

DCIR and ACIR are two different approaches followed in the battery industry to measure the internal resistance of a cell. DCIR is the Direct Current Internal Resistance, which is the resistance in charge and discharge to a direct current demand applied across the terminals.

What is ACIR (AC internal resistance)?

ACIR (AC internal resistance) is tested using high-frequency AC (such as 1kHz). At this time, the polarization effect is ignored, and the measured value is approximately equal to the ohmic internal resistance, which is used to quickly detect the initial state of the battery.

What is alternating (ACIR) method in biologic software?

Obtained from a Li-ion battery cycling. Similarly, the ACIR method is available in BioLogic software. It can be used in galvano control mode (G-ACIR) or in potentio control mode (P-ACIR). Both are used to determine the internal resistance of a battery using the alternating (AC) method.
