What is the difference between diesel generator and PV/diesel system?

Compared to a diesel-only system, PV/diesel system not only decreases the atmospheric pollutants of carbon (CO x), sulphur (SO x) and nitrogen (NO x) emissions but also decreases the power generation costs.
