How many homes will a wind project power in the UAE?

A wind programme launched in the UAE will power more than 23,000 homes a year, it was announced on Thursday. The 103.5-megawatt (MW) project developed by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar will displace 120,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide. This is equivalent to removing more than 26,000 petrol-powered cars from the roads annually.
