Who is Saint John energy?

Saint John Energy is taking a bold step forward. In partnership with global renewable energy developer Universal Kraft and the Indigenous community of Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation), we’re developing the largest solar energy project in our province’s history — and the first for our utility.

Does Saint John energy have a solar farm?

A few years after the opening of a wind farm on the city’s west side, Saint John Energy is now getting into the solar game on the other side of town. The utility have partnered with Universal Kraft and Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation) for the creation of a 10 megawatt solar farm on Old Black River Road.

When will Saint John energy's solar farm project start?

Construction of the project is expected to begin in spring of 2026 and be operational by the following summer. The solar farm initiative is the latest part of Saint John Energy’s Zero30 plan to produce net-zero emissions by 2030.
