Is it possible to build a hydroelectric storage power station in Israel?

The Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) evaluated the feasibility of building a hydroelectric storage power station in Israel, specifically an 800 MW station at Nahal Parsa located at the south-west of the Dead Sea, in the 1990s.

Will Dalia energy build a new power plant in Israel?

Dalia Energy has announced plans to build a new power plant in Ashdod, Israel. The project will cost 5.3 billion shekels ($1.5 billion) and is being financed by Bank Hapoalim. The plant, called “Avshal,” will be constructed on the site of the current Eshkol power station. It will have a capacity of 850 megawatts.

What will the avshal power plant do for Israel?

Construction of the Avshal plant will take place alongside another project, the “Dalia 2” power plant. Both plants aim to address Israel’s growing energy needs while expanding competition in the sector.
